Based on Brofenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory, the GHIIL's Returning Citizens and Reentry Program aims to facilitate returning citizens' behavioral readjustments to societal demands through a series of workshops. Individuals will gain self-mastery skills that addresses the root causes of imprisonment as it relates to their Microsytem (primary environment), Mesosytem (social connections), Exosystem (indirect environment), Macrosystem (social and cultural beliefs), and Chronosystem (changes overtime).
